Scott Hutchison's At Peace is a graphite drawing study for a future painting. This is a unique and one of a kind drawing, not a print. The purpose of doing a study is to flush out the composition, darks, lights and proportional structure without the burden of using color and oil paint. I enjoy making studies. It's an opportunity to experiment and tackle a subject that may or may not see the light of day. At Piece is indicitive of my current body of work in which I reassemble the figure.
