A portrait drawing in graphite with fingers covering her face and an open mouth.
7.5″ x 9.5″ – Graphite

This small graphite drawing is a study of hands and a continuation of my interest in abstracting the human form. This piece evokes a sense of anxiety by the way it is cropped and the repetition of the fingers. The pose is reminiscent of the mask-like gestures children do with their hands in front of their face without the playful qualities.
