Who doesn’t love art and ice cream? The Art League’s popular Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser is back and the perfect way to support The Art League during the annual King Street Art Festival, September 13-14.

Purchase one of 1,000+ hand-made bowls created by the talented and prolific artists of The Art League’s Ceramics Department and enjoy local artisan ice cream from Artfully Chocolate in Alexandria – all for only $15 per bowl! Proceeds go to benefit The Art League’s Ceramics department. Participants in the Ice Cream Bowl Fundraiser can enter a free drawing to win Ceramic Artwork and an Art League gift certificate.

Contribute to Our 60th Anniversary Community Canvas at the Art Festival

Scott Hutchison on September 13 and 14 from 12:00 – 3:00 will be taking part in the Community Canvas project.

Visitors to the King Street Art Festival are encouraged to contribute to The Art League’s Community Canvas – a growing installation of 600+ black and white large puzzle pieces.

Art League instructor Scott Hutchison conceived the idea for the installation, and the Community Canvas initially came together on the back wall of The Art League Gallery during the month of January. You can see my original artical about the puzzle piece here. The final Community Canvas will be unveiled at our Madison Annex during Artfête on December 5.  Official website for the King Street Fesitval: Artfestival.com
